April 29 “SA-YI-GU”, 1992 features 8 10-Minute Plays, written by CoA Playwrights Group, set before and right after twelve jurors in Sylmar, California rendered their verdicts in a controversial case involving the 1991 beating of Rodney King by four LAPD officers. Today, 20 Years later, we rise above the ashes. We take a look into ourselves and our City of Angels.

Convened in the summer of 2007, the Company of Angels Playwrights Group is comprised of a select group of diverse, award-winning writers who have been produced across the country, from the West Coast to the East Coast, not to mention international locations such as London, the Edinburgh Festival, and Singapore.
